The Huntingdon Beach Party is an event put on by a number of churches in Huntingdon, led by HCC. It is an opportunity to show God's love to the town on a large scale, an opportunity for townspeople to come to a free event, meet people from the churches and find out that 'Christians are normal'!
The event centres on a beach constructed from 8 tons of sand. With the help of local farmers, we build the sand area so that kids can play, have fun, join in the sandcastle competition, and maybe watch a puppet show! Around the beach we have non-alcoholic cocktails, a BBQ, teas and coffees and ice creams, a craft area, and tables laid out to rest and chat.
We have also had a surf simulator machine, giant games, and for those who would like to chat things over, a 'listening' corner.
Music is, of course, the final ingredient.
